From time to time we can all feel overwhelmed by events or by the nature of our lives. At these times we may benefit from taking space to reflect on things.
In our early life we develop patterns of behaving and relating which help us survive and function. However, over the course of time these patterns may actually become an obstacle to close relating.
Counselling offers an opportunity for you to think about what aspects of your own unique patterns remain helpful to you and what may now have become unhelpful. It provides an opportunity for you to reflect on the way you relate and behave in a safe and non judgemental setting.
Counselling can help to highlight any internal conflicts and enable you to feel clearer about what you want for yourself and what changes you may need to make. It can be a great relief to share your troubles with another person who is outside your immediate situation and who will not criticise.
Individual counselling sessions are 50 minutes and I would endeavour to see you at the same time each week.
